Inducting International Online Learners onto Higher Education Courses
This project involved the development of recommendations for international distance learning induction programs, sub-contracted by the Open University
Induction is a key part of any education programme, and for distance learning it is important to get this right, as there is less direct feedback so it is not as possible to flexibly adapt and change. It is also important that induction approaches are inclusive to a range of people from multiple cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and with differing levels of privilege.
The project involved assessing and evaluating international approaches and developing guidelines.
