Number of Sessions


Each person that comes for support is unique, so the number of sessions agreed depends on you and your difficulties. Some people only need a small number of sessions and other people find that they benefit from having a longer tem supportive relationship. We will agree an initial planned number of sessions for our work and review at regular points. Your practitioner will be very open with you about any plan for treatment, you will be in control of the number of sessions you receive.



Everything we discuss will be strictly confidential. I will only share information if you ask me to or if I worry that you, or someone else, might be at risk.  In all instances I will be open in communicating to you.  All of your disclosures and information provided by you is protected under the Data Protection Act 1998, which I adhere to.




This will be agreed with you on initial contact


Alcohol / Drug Use


Please attend all sessions free of alcohol or illicit drugs.  Attendance under the influence of either will result in the session being canceled, with no refund offered.




These will be discussed directly with you or with your organisation.


Payment of Fees


You or your organisation will be invoiced, usually by email, with payment details including BACS.  Alternatively, we accept cash or cheque payment, in person at the start of each session or in advance of a block of sessions booked. 


Insurance companies may settle accounts directly through BACS or by cheque. All accounts to be settled within 30 days of invoice date. Failure to pay may incur Statutory Interest and Compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment Legislation.

If you have problems making payment, please communicate with us.


Late Arrival Policy


If you are late for your session, unfortunately the session will need to be cut short, at no reduced cost.  This policy avoids other sessions being affected and protects the working hours of your therapist.


Cancellation policy


We realise that sometimes life can happen and a session may be missed due to unforseen circumstances. When pre-agreed sessions are cancelled, 24 hours notice is required. If 24 hours notice is not provided, the full fee will be charged. The cancellation fee is in place so that your regular meeting times can be preserved.  If sessions a pre-paid, this session will be considerd provided.  


There is no charge for rescheduling appointments with over 24 hours notice.


Termination Policy


You are able to end support from us at any point, this being your choice.  If you wish to end therapy, we recommend that this is discussed in a session to support an appropriate ending.  If this is not possible, 24 hours notice will be required to cancel an upcoming session, else the fee for that session will be charged.


Unused prepaid sessions will be reimbursed unless otherwise stated in contracting.
